JIMMY Savile had a BBC accomplice who would supply girls for the star, it was claimed last night.

The employee was said to have helped the late DJ run a sex ring at the Corporation and even joined in the abuse.

Police could now be asked to investigate the new claims, which torpedo theories Savile was acting alone when he abused girls at the Beeb in the 60s and 70s.

A former beauty queen, called Sandra, claimed the accomplice raped her in a storeroom in 1970.

The 23-year-old beauty contest winner wrote to Radio 1 DJ Savile asking for work experience.

He quickly got “heavy” with her and she agreed to have sex with him in his caravan outside the studios in West London.

A week later Sandra said the accomplice invited her back to the BBC to attend a film screening, and afterwards Savile “disappeared” and the other man locked her in a storeroom where he raped her.

She said: “There is no doubt in my mind that this was all planned - with him and Jimmy.

“I didn't understand at the time but it is obvious now.”

Kim Anderson also told how she was a 19-year-old waitress at a London drinking club when the alleged accomplice invited her to meet Savile on his tour bus.

Kim, now 53, said she was ushered through a curtain to a private section where Savile was waiting.

She said: “I had to fight him off. I sat down and he lunged at me. He wanted me to touch him, and he lunged at me again and kissed me.

"I went back out to where everyone was sitting and this accomplice, who idolised Jimmy Savile, told me to go back in there. I didn't.”

The alleged accomplice, who no longer works at the BBC, denied the accusations last night. He said: “I don't remember any of this. I can't see why the accusations have been made. I have never raped anyone.”

An ITV documentary on Wednesday accused Savile, who was 84 when he died, of being a pervert who raped and molested girls as young as 12. A host of women have since backed the revelations — with some claiming to have fallen victim in his BBC dressing room.

Karin Ward previously told how she saw pop star Gary Glitter having sex with an under-age girl in Savile's BBC dressing room while the DJ was groping another fan.

The BBC last night said it has found NO evidence that its management ignored any allegations of wrongdoing by Savile.

Director General George Entwistle revealed the BBC had probed claims the star molested girls after scouring archives for “a month”.

June, now 80 — and an ex-nurse — said: “He just helped himself to her.

“I can still remember seeing exactly what he did. He molested her. He rubbed his hands over her chest and further down her front. I told a nurse, but she took no notice and nothing was done. I remember saying, ‘Don't let that man anywhere near me. If he does, I will scream the place down'.”

June, of York, added: “He was evil. He should be stripped of his knighthood.”

She said the sickening scene happened when she was in the same four-bed bay on the Brotherton wing of Leeds General Hospital in 1972.

Another woman told of being groped by the DJ — who was an unpaid porter there — as she was wheeled from an operating theatre in agony.

She was “crying in pain” strapped to a trolley at the age of 16 when the Jim'll Fix It legend loomed over her.

The teenager thought he was about to give her a “reassuring cuddle” after her spine op. Instead he fondled her chest.

Now 55 and from North Yorkshire, she said: “Whenever I saw him on TV I thought, ‘Dirty old git' and switched channels. I felt angry when I saw his funeral on TV. He was paraded like some kind of saint.”

“Stewpot”, 71, said Top of the Pops hosts warned each other not to get involved.

He went on: “Rumours went around — don't go to any party, or do anything, where Jimmy is. There were girls of all ages there and you couldn't be sure how young they were.”

Another Radio 1 DJ, Dave Cash, told how Savile invited him to a “party” in his motorhome with two girls as young as 14.

Cash, 70, who hosted Top of the Pops with Savile in the 1960s, said: “I had a terribly bad feeling and I don't know why, because I didn't see anything. He was very cunning and smart.”

AN ex-sailor has told how he PUNCHED Jimmy Savile in the head after catching him groping a schoolgirl.

Burly merchant seaman Shaun Ford decked the telly star on a train in 1973 without recognising him at first.

Shaun, now 61, said of the incident on a journey to Bournemouth: “A man with hippy clothes had his hand up a girl's blouse. She was only 13 or 14. I hit him and he went down.

"When I realised who he was I thought I'd be in trouble.”
